Short answer
Dawnwalker does not present a single guaranteed checklist as its main structure. The official material shows a central family objective, optional calls for help, investigations, and direct routes toward Brencis. Quests and some other commitments advance time, so the useful database fields are the visible cost, phase, prerequisite, choice, result, and fallback route.
Quest database at a glance.
The filter below is the first layer of the database. It currently contains public preview anchors so players can see the structure before launch; named retail quests will replace or extend these records after direct playtesting.
Preview quest index.
Preview anchors stay separate from the retail quest database.
Family / Story route
Save Coen's family
The central objective around which the 30-day story clock is built.
Family / Day / prologue demo
Find healing herbs for Coen's mother
A public demonstration of how helping one objective competes with other calls for help.
Choice / Day / local quest
Help Gremla and her pig
A choice example with multiple responses, including helping, declining, or buying the pig.
Investigation / Svartrau route
Investigate the legendary sword
A gameplay-reveal route through the city and its crypts in search of a hidden weapon.
Route / Story decision
Approach Greifberg and Brencis
The reveal shows that Coen can choose a direct, high-risk approach rather than follow every other lead.
All quests / Launch build
Named retail quests
The final index will add exact names, NPCs, locations, costs, rewards, and failure branches.
What every quest page must answer.
| Field | Player question | Evidence rule |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Who gives it, where, and at what phase? | Use an in-game name, screenshot, or reproducible save. |
| Cost | How many time segments does it consume? | Record the visible hourglass on the tested platform and version. |
| Choice | What happens if I help, refuse, delay, or feed? | Separate immediate dialogue from a later world-state change. |
| Failure | Can I return, recover, or use another route? | Test the alternate path instead of labelling a quest permanently missed from one run. |
| Reward | What do I receive and what does it unlock? | Record item, XP, skill/manual access, relationship, and later quest links. |
Quest database launch plan.
- Capture the first appearance.Save the exact quest text, NPC, map label, phase, and current day before taking the objective.
- Replay one decision from a named save.Compare action, delay, and inaction so a visible reaction is not mistaken for a permanent branch.
- Connect the quest to NPCs and locations.Link every verified record to the NPC directory and map index once those records exist.
- Publish the fallback route.Tell the player what can still be completed after a missed objective, dead NPC, or different phase.
Quests FAQ
Is there a main quest list in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
The official structure is a narrative sandbox with a central family objective and several optional or alternative routes. A complete retail quest list needs direct playthrough data.
Do quests use time in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
Official material says quests and other marked actions can advance the story clock, with an hourglass showing the cost. Record the exact cost from the final build.
Can quests be missed?
The game is designed around consequence and not having time for everyone. The full list of permanently missable quests and recovery routes is not confirmed until the retail build is mapped.
Can I complete every quest in one playthrough?
The developer has said you will not have time for everyone. The database should therefore label mutually exclusive routes and a realistic completion plan after they are reproduced in game.
